After the Christmas market his work can be seen for two more weeks during regular City Hall opening hours.

Cityscapes are the specialty of Marc Remus. Currently his work is being displayed in 38 galleries in 25 cities in Germany and in two galleries in the USA. In the past months he created three paintings of Gelnhausen which are the center of the exhibition.
"I created these paintings because of my grandma's 100th birthday. It is the first time they will be exhibited publicly ," says the artist.
Besides paintings of Gelnhausen the visitor will find many other cityscapes at display. For example: Frankfurt, Seligenstadt, Hanau, Oberursel, Rome and Paris.

Marc Remus was born in Frankfurt. He studied many years in the USA, Japan, and Honduras and graduated as illustrator from renowned Art Center College of Design in Pasadena/ CA.
Since then, his city views have received a lot of public recognition. The artist developed his own painting technique over the years. It is based on a secret tea/coffee mixture.
Watercolors, acrylics, pastel, & Matte Medium are applied on top. Buildings, sculptures and landmarks can be seen in his "Impressions of cities & countries."

New paintings emerge constantly from the artist's brush in a dynamic and modern style.
After the success of the series "Impressions of Frankfurt," other series and single paintings of cities were created. So far he has painted the following German cities:
Bergisch Gladbach, Berlin, Bonn Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelnhausen, Hanau, Heidelberg, Cologne, Ludwigshafen, Julich, Langen Mannheim, Munich, Montabaur, Oberursel, Schwetzingen, Siegburg and Troisdorf.
